Approximately 15-20% of all couples actively trying to conceive, suffer at the hands of Infertility – the inability to fall pregnant after 12 months of appropriately timed and unprotected intercourse. Issues affecting a couple’s success can be both attributed to male and female factors such as Endometriosis, Low Sperm Counts, Erectile Issues or Ovulatory Disorders such as PCOS.

Dr Shaikh is a fertility specialist currently undergoing a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility, the highest certification for fertility specialists in Australia and New Zealand. Having worked with many couples in both Westmead Fertility Centre and IVF Australia, she understands that fertility patients are often undergoing strong emotional journeys that include frustration, sadness and pain. She therefore strives to provide a high standard of compassionate and individualised care to ensure that all her patients have the best chance possible for realising their dream.
